Labor Day Weekend Events: 4 Things To Do Around Ocean County

OCEAN COUNTY, NJ — Labor Day weekend is bringing a mix of food, music, shopping, arts and patriotic celebration to communities across Ocean County.

From craft fairs featuring dozens of local vendors to a food truck festival and a celebration of America's 250th anniversary, here's a look at four events happening around the county this weekend.

Seaside Park’s Annual Art & Craft Fair

Saturday, Sept. 5 | 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

Police Station Lawn, 1 Municipal Plaza, Seaside Park

Start the holiday weekend browsing handmade creations at Seaside Park's annual Art & Craft Fair. The event will feature local artists and crafters on the Police Station Lawn.

The fair is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. A rain date is set for Sunday, Sept. 6.

Fabricated For You Craft Fair

Saturday, Sept. 5 | 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

Fabricated For You, 1081 Route 37, Toms River

Craft shoppers will have plenty to explore at the Fabricated For You Craft Fair, with more than 60 outdoor booths and 30 indoor spotlight vendors.

The selection includes handmade jewelry, baked goods, quilts, beach-themed items, floral arrangements, resin art, paintings, seaglass art, candles, crochet items, bags, wallets, toys and home décor.

Shoppers can also enter a raffle for gift baskets, while children can enjoy free face painting. The event is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, with Sept. 6 set as the rain date.

Berkeley Township Food Truck & Music Festival

Saturday, Sept. 5 | 11 a.m.-6 p.m.

Veterans Park, 489 Bill Zimmerman Jr. Way, Bayville

Food, music and family activities take over Veterans Park during the Berkeley Township Food Truck & Music Festival.

The Labor Day weekend event will feature 15 gourmet food trucks, an adult beverage garden, a vendor shopping village, kids' activities and live bands.

Admission is $5, while children under 10 get in free.

Point Pleasant Beach Celebrates America’s 250th

Sunday, Sept. 6 | 10 a.m.-3:30 p.m.

Point Pleasant Beach

Point Pleasant Beach will celebrate America's 250th anniversary with a full day of patriotic festivities.

The celebration begins with a 10 a.m. parade traveling down Arnold Avenue from Shore Pools to the Bandshell. Parade lineup begins at 9:30 a.m.

The block party at the Bandshell begins at 11 a.m., followed by the national anthem at 11 a.m., remarks from Mayor Douglas Vitale at 11:05 a.m. and remarks from Assemblyman Paul Kanitra at 11:15 a.m.

From 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., families can enjoy food, music, games and other activities. A Revolutionary War reenactment will also offer a chance to step back in time and experience a piece of American history.

The borough's official calendar lists the parade and block party from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Sunday.
