$8K, Meth Seized During Drug Bust In Ocean County, Police Say
A Toms River man and a Brick Township woman were arrested and charged in connection with the incident.
BRICK, NJ — Two people were arrested following a multi-month investigation into the distribution of illegal narcotics in the Ocean County area, Brick Township Police said.
On June 29th, the Brick Police Department Street Crimes Unit (SCU) collaborated with the Ocean County Narcotics Strike Force (OCNSF) to execute multiple search warrants related to this case.
During the investigation, Michael Casey, of Toms River, was identified as a large-scale methamphetamine distributor operating in the Ocean County area, police said.

According to authorities, the Brick Township Police Department SCU was granted a total of 13 court-authorized search warrants in relation to drug trafficking operations conducted by Casey.
Brick SCU & OCNSF detectives established surveillance on Casey during the aforementioned date, during which he was found and taken into police custody without incident.

Casey was arrested and charged with CDS-related offenses and was brought to Brick Police Headquarters for processing.

As part of the investigation, Brick SCU & OCNSF detectives also executed two residential search warrants simultaneously in Brick Township and in Toms River, along with one storage unit and three vehicles.
In collaboration with Toms River ESU and Brick Township SERT, two “Knock & Announce” search warrants were executed at the two homes.
The search of the Toms River residence yielded about 800 grams of methamphetamine, a digital money counter, a quantity of psilocybin mushrooms, drug packaging material to include various sized bags, several digital scales and $6,751 in U.S. currency, police said.
The search of the Brick Township residence yielded a quantity of methamphetamine in excess of one-half ounce, drug packaging material, digital scales and $1,567 in U.S. currency.
Tiffany Romano was then arrested and charged with CDS-related offenses and was brought to Brick Police Headquarters for processing.
She was taken into custody without incident, police said.
Michael Casey was charged and placed on a criminal complaint warrant with the following charges; Possession with the intent to distribute five ounces or more of Methamphetamine (first-degree), Maintaining a CDS production facility (first-degree), Conspiracy to possess with the intent to distribute five ounces or more of methamphetamine (second-degree), Possession with the intent to distribute psilocybin (second-degree), Possession of Methamphetamine (third-degree), Possession of Psilocybin (third-degree), Money Laundering (third-degree) and Drug Paraphernalia (DP).
Tiffany Romano was charged and placed on a criminal complaint warrant with the following charges: Possession with the intent to distribute ½ ounce or more but less than five ounces of Methamphetamine (second-degree), Conspiracy to possess with the intent to distribute five ounces or more of Methamphetamine (second-degree), Possession of Methamphetamine (third-degree), Money Laundering (third-degree) and Drug Paraphernalia (DP).
All subjects were brought to the Ocean County Jail by the Brick Township Patrol Division, pending their first court appearance.
As of Monday afternoon, Romano did not come up in the jail's inmate search, though Casey was listed there.
"We'd like to thank the following participating agencies: Brick Township Police Department Street Crimes Unit, Ocean County Narcotics Strike Force, Brick Township SERT, Brick Township Patrol, Toms River ESU and Toms River Patrol," Brick Police said in an online post.
