Homicide Investigation Underway In Jackson, Reports Say

JACKSON, NJ — An investigation is continuing at a Jackson Township apartment complex Monday morning into a homicide, according to multiple reports.
The incident involves a grandmother and her grandson, and the grandmother is the victim, the Asbury Park Press reported, citing unnamed authorities.
The man turned himself in to authorities, Lakewood Alerts reported, citing unnamed law enforcement sources. The report said he was the person who called police to report the incident.

The incident happened sometime overnight at the Jackson Green apartment complex on West County Line Road, according to Jackson Township police.
"The situation, which was contained to a residence, was quickly brought under control," Jackson police said in a Facebook post Monday morning.

"There remains a police presence as the investigation continues. Please be aware there is no danger to residents," the department's post said.
