2 Injured, 1 Flown To Hospital In Serious Crash On Route 22 In Readington

The crash happened on Monday night at the intersection of Route 22 and Main Street.

READINGTON, NJ — Two drivers were injured, and one was flown to a hospital with serious injuries following a crash on Route 22 in Readington on Monday.

At around 4:26 p.m., the Readington Township Police Department, Whitehouse Rescue Squad, and Whitehouse Fire Company responded to a motor vehicle crash with reported injuries on Route 22 at the intersection of Main Street (County Route 523).

Officers found that a 2025 Honda Accord driven by a 29-year-old woman from Pittstown and a 2021 Infiniti QX50 driven by a 58-year-old woman from Bayville had crashed.

Both drivers had injuries from the crash. The driver of the Infiniti had serious injuries and was flown by the New Jersey State Police NorthSTAR Medevac to an area trauma center.

The driver of the Honda was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

The crash remains under investigation by the Readington Township Police Department Traffic Safety Unit.
