9-Year-Old Resuscitated After Drowning At Pleasant Valley Pool In Bernards Township
Lifeguards pulled the child from the water, began lifesaving measures and he was taken to Morristown Memorial Hospital.
BASKING RIDGE, NJ — Lifeguards saved a 9-year-old boy at Pleasant Valley Pool last week after he became submerged underwater in the deeper end of the pool, said police.
On July 30, a boy was swimming in the pool at 3405 Valley Road in Basking Ridge when he drifted into a deeper end, said Bernards Township Police Sgt. Steven Matthews to Patch.
"At some point, the juvenile became submerged underwater for a period of time," said Matthews.

Lifeguards noticed him, pulled him from the pool and immediately began lifesaving measures along with pool staff.
The boy was revived and then taken to Morristown Memorial Hospital, where he was reported to be in stable condition.

The incident remains under investigation at this time, said Matthews.
