Bridgewater Nurse Practitioner Charged With Assaulting Teen At Youth Shelter

Izee Dizon, 34, of Bridgewater, was charged after police say he had inappropriate physical and verbal contact with a teen.

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — A nurse practitioner from Bridgewater has been charged with assaulting a 16-year-old inside the medical unit of the Middlesex County Youth Shelter, according to the Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office.

Izee Dizon, 34, of Bridgewater, was charged with third-degree aggravated assault and third-degree endangering the welfare of a child, Middlesex County Prosecutor Linda Estremera and North Brunswick Police Director Joseph Battaglia said Tuesday.

On March 6, the New Jersey Division of Child Protection and Permanency notified the prosecutor's office that a 16-year-old reported being assaulted by a nurse practitioner while inside the shelter's medical unit.

According to the investigation, Dizon had inappropriate physical and verbal contact with the teen inside the shelter.

Dizon was arrested without incident on March 8 and charged with both counts. The investigation remains active and ongoing.
