Bridgewater Police Department Earns 4th State Reaccreditation

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — The Bridgewater Police Department has achieved its fourth official accreditation status from the New Jersey State Association of Chiefs of Police and the New Jersey Law Enforcement Accreditation Commission.

This reaccreditation was granted by a unanimous vote during a hearing attended by executive officers and staff from various law enforcement agencies across the state.

Accreditation provides objective evidence of a law enforcement agency’s commitment to excellence in leadership, resource management, and service delivery.

This status allows government officials to have increased confidence in an agency's ability to operate efficiently and meet community needs. Officers in accredited agencies are recognized for their professionalism and their adherence to established standards.

The New Jersey State Association of Chiefs of Police and the New Jersey Law Enforcement Accreditation Commission reported that this fourth reaccreditation represents a significant accomplishment in the professional performance of any law enforcement agency.
