Bridgewater Deputy Township Administrator Rob Field attended on behalf of Mayor Moench and pointed to the club’s impact on the local community as reflected in a Bridgewater Township proclamation congratulating members and wishing them continued success.

The club also received a congratulatory proclamation from the Somerset County Board of County Commissioners.

The anniversary event also included leadership changes and new members.

New Jersey State Federation of Woman’s Clubs Past President Barbara McCloskey presided over the installation of the club’s 2026-2027 officers, and four new members were inducted.

The club tied much of its anniversary year to the number 50 through what it called its "50 for 50 Campaign."

In recognition of 1976 as the year it was formed, the group offered six $1,976 scholarships to senior girls attending an accredited two- or four-year college, including five from Bridgewater-Raritan High School and one from Somerset County VoTech.

Throughout 2026, the club said it has also completed a series of service projects built around the number 50.

Those efforts included 50 filled canvas bags for Safe+Sound, 50 holiday stockings for Operation Jersey Cares, 50 coats for a YMCA coat drive, 50 stuffed animals for Learning Gate, 50 pinwheels at the Municipal Complex in support of Prevent Child Abuse NJ, 50 items donated to I Support the Girls and 50 personal acts of kindness through community outreach.

The Bridgewater Woman’s Club said it plans to continue supporting women, children and families in Bridgewater and nearby communities.

The club describes itself as a non-denominational, non-sectarian, non-profit organization that supports local, state, national and international charities.
