DWI, Domestic Violence Arrests Reported In Raritan

Raritan Borough Police released its recent blotter.

RARITAN, NJ — The Raritan Borough Police blotter included multiple arrests for driving while intoxicated and domestic violence.

On Jan. 31: A 55-year-old Raritan man was arrested for simple assault as a result of a domestic violence incident. The man was lodged in the Somerset County Jail.

On Feb. 3: A 62-year-old Raritan man was arrested for violating a court order. The man was arrested and later taken into custody by the Branchburg Police Department.

On Feb. 4: Mahmoud Younes, 31, of Raritan, was arrested following a pedestrian stop on West Somerset Street. Younes had warrants for his arrest issued by Metuchen, Harrison, Fairfield, Manville and Keansburg. Younes was later taken into custody by the Manville Police Department.

On Feb. 5: A 60-year-old Raritan man was arrested for simple assault following a domestic violence incident. The man was released pending a court appearance.

On Feb. 7: Richard Hildenbrand, 77, of Bridgewater, was arrested for driving while intoxicated following a traffic stop on West Somerset Street. Hildenbrand was also charged with failing to maintain a lane of travel, careless driving, reckless driving and having an unsealed container of cannabis. Hildenbrand was released pending a court date.

On Feb. 9: Andre Heredia, 33, of Three Bridges, was arrested for driving while intoxicated following a traffic stop on Route 202. Heredia was also charged with obstructing traffic, careless driving, reckless driving, and failing to submit a breath sample. Heredia was released pending a court appearance.

On Feb. 15: Steve Martinez, 38, of Washington, was arrested for driving while intoxicated following a traffic stop on the Somerville Traffic Circle. Martinez was also charged with careless driving, reckless driving and having an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle. Martinez was released pending a court appearance.

On Feb. 15: A 41-year-old Lebanon man and a 52-year-old Manville man were each arrested for multiple narcotic offenses following a traffic stop on Route 206. Both men were lodged in the Somerset County Jail.

On Feb. 15: A 28-year-old Branchburg man was arrested for simple assault following a domestic violence incident. The man was lodged in the Somerset County Jail.

On Feb. 17: James Miller, 53, of Whitehouse Station, was charged with theft after not paying for a gas purchase at the Shell Gas Station on Route 202. A court appearance is pending.

On Feb. 18: Tyhira Burwell, 31, of Raritan, was arrested following a traffic stop on East Somerset Street. Burwell was wanted by the Bernards Township Municipal Court after failing to appear in court. Burwell was released pending a court appearance.

On Feb. 22: James Gunter, 40, no known address, was arrested on a trespassing warrant after officers saw him at the Raritan Train Station. Gunter was lodged in the Somerset County Jail.

On Feb. 22: Yojank Quinones-Guerrero, 46, of Bound Brook, was arrested and charged as a fugitive from justice following a traffic stop on First Avenue. Guerrero was wanted by the Lackawanna County Sheriff’s Department in Pennsylvania on a felony theft charge. Guerrero was taken to the Somerset County Jail and is awaiting extradition to Pennsylvania.

On Feb. 23: A 25-year-old Raritan woman was arrested for simple assault following a domestic violence incident. The woman was lodged in the Somerset County Jail.

On Feb. 23: Jose Rinconospino, 32, of Flemington, was arrested for driving while intoxicated following a traffic stop on Second Avenue. Rinconospino was charged with circumventing a DWI interlock device and numerous motor vehicle summonses. Rinconospino was also charged with operating a motor vehicle during a suspension for a previous DWI conviction. Rinconospino was later taken to a local hospital for intoxication.

On Feb. 23: A 28-year-old Pennsylvania man was charged with violating the provisions of a domestic violence restraining order. A warrant has been issued for his arrest.
