32nd Annual Jersey Voices Festival Returns To Chatham Playhouse This Month

CHATHAM, NJ — The Chatham Community Players will present its 32nd annual Jersey Voices One-Act Festival with six performances from July 24 through Aug. 2 at the Chatham Playhouse.

The festival will showcase seven original short plays by New Jersey playwrights, featuring stories that explore topics including artificial intelligence, space exploration, aging and comedy. Since its debut, Jersey Voices has brought the work of more than 130 playwrights to the stage.

Performances are scheduled for July 24, 25, 30 and 31, and Aug. 1 at 8 p.m., with a final performance Aug. 2 at 3 p.m. at the Chatham Playhouse, 23 N. Passaic Ave.

"Over the years, Jersey Voices has established a strong community of passionate risk-takers and receptive audiences,” producer and stage manager Aaron Kellner of West Orange, said. “For many, participation in some capacity has become an eagerly anticipated summer tradition. It is a privilege to be able to spotlight so many talented local artists and continue a legacy of quality that is the hallmark of CCP.”
