CAMDEN, NJ — A 45-year-old man was arrested in connection with a deadly shooting in Camden on June 9, the Camden County Prosecutor's Office said.
Eric Irizarry, of Camden, was charged with first-degree murder, second-degree unlawful possession of a weapon, and second-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.
On June 9, at around 12:30 a.m., officers responded to the 200 block of Morse Street following a ShotSpotter alert.

The technology acts as an acoustic gunfire detection software that works with sensors to detect, locate, and alert police to areas of concern.
Officers found Luis J. Bonet, 24, of Camden, near Baird Boulevard and Boyd Street after he was shot.

He was taken to Cooper University Hospital where he was declared dead at around 12:36 a.m., according to officials.
Irizarry was charged on June 10 and surrendered without conflict at the Camden County Police Department on June 12.
He was then taken to the Camden County Correctional Facility.
