Man Charged After Shooting At Cherry Hill Shopping Center

A 61-year-old was found shot in a car.

CHERRY HILL, NJ — A man was arrested on Thursday in connection with a shooting in the Liberty Bell Shopping Center Parking lot.

Terrance Roberts, 52, of Cherry Hill, was charged with first-degree attempted murder, second-degree unlawful possession of a weapon, second-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and fourth-degree possessing a large capacity magazine.

At around 4 p.m., Cherry Hill Police officers responded to the parking lot at 2083 Route 70 E. for a report of someone who was shot in a vehicle.

A 61-year-old man was taken to Cooper University Hospital where he is in stable condition, according to officials.

Roberts was driving and pulled up in a car next to the man's vehicle.

Using surveillance video, detectives were able to track Roberts' vehicle back to his home.

Authorities raided the property on Thursday in the area of Rabbit Run Drive and Old Orchard Road, less than a mile away from the stores.

Multiple guns were confiscated.

Two schools in the area were put under a shelter-in-place during the day while law enforcement searched the home.

Roberts was taken to the Camden County Correctional Facility to await a detention hearing in Superior Court.
