Man Pleads Guilty After Largest Meth Bust In NJ History: Officials
More than 260 pounds were confiscated.
CAMDEN, NJ — A 47-year-old man from Illinois admitted that he tried to distribute more than 260 pounds of methamphetamine into New Jersey, the United States Department of Justice said.
Marcos Cesar Acosta, of Chicago, pleaded guilty on Thursday in Camden federal court to one count of conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine.
On April 28, Acosta was in New Jersey to oversee the delivery of hundreds of pounds of meth by truck.

Law enforcement arrested him and another co-conspirator later that night when they confiscated three black storage boxes, one duffel bag, and a garbage bag from the truck cab that were all filled with meth.
Acosta faces a minimum of 10 years and a maximum of life in jail, along with a fine of up to $10 million.

He is scheduled to be sentenced on December 17.
