CHERRY HILL, NJ — An Asian-fusion restaurant is among several establishments on their way to Cherry Hill Mall.

Kooma Asian Fusion and Sushi Bar is expected to open this fall, according to PREIT, the mall's parent company. The restaurant will mark Kooma's first in New Jersey, with two others located in Eastern Pennsylvania.

The restaurants tout hand-picked ingredients and a wide selection of sushi. Kooma's menu also features stone pot bibimbaps, stir-fry and other delicacies.

PREIT went bankrupt in December for the second time in three years. The company exited the restructuring process a few months later, with a small group of investment firms taking over.

Headquartered in Philadelphia, PREIT lists 17 shopping centers, including Moorestown Mall, among its assets.

Paula Charles, PREIT's vice president of leasing, expressed confidence in Cherry Hill Mall's growth.

"With strong traffic and great tenants, Cherry Hill Mall is positioned as a key destination for retailers entering or expanding in the region," Charles said in a statement. "This ongoing leasing momentum reflects our commitment to evolving with consumer preferences and maintaining our position as a premier shopping destination."
