5 Hurt After Train Collides With Car In South Jersey, Officials Say

The driver of the vehicle was taken to the hospital.

DELRAN, NJ — A River LINE railcar crashed with a vehicle on Tuesday along the track near the Riverside Station, NJ Transit said.

At around 5:45 p.m., a train that left Walter Rand Transportation Center on its way to Trenton hit the vehicle at the Main Street crossing.

Four of the 50 passengers aboard the train were treated on scene for minor injuries, and the driver of the vehicle was taken to the hospital.

The condition of the driver is unknown.

The River Line service between Cinnaminson and Riverside was suspended for a period on Tuesday evening and has resumed normal operations.
