Driver Charged In Pedestrian Death Along South Jersey Highway

EDGEWATER PARK, NJ — A 51-year-old driver was charged after he hit and killed a man along Route 130 South on Sunday, according to Edgewater Park Township Police Chief John Harris.

Huseyin Ozkok, of Pemberton, was charged with driving while suspended or unlicensed and causing death or injury.

Welther Briggs, 51, of Willingboro, died from his injuries after the early morning crash at the intersection with Pennypacker Drive.

According to Chief John Harris, the driver stayed at the crash site and has been cooperating with officials.
