Woman Goes Missing Underwater While Saving Girl In Delaware River: Authorities
She jumped in near the park along Norman Avenue.
RIVERSIDE, NJ — Emergency responders are looking for a woman who was reported missing in the Delaware River near Amico Island Park, the Delran Police Department said.
At around 4 p.m., officers responded to 81 Norman Ave. for a report of two people who might have drowned.
According to officials, a woman jumped into the water to try and save a girl who was struggling.

She was able to push the girl to bystanders who safely pulled her ashore. The woman then went underwater and did not resurface.
The Camden County Dive Team, New Jersey State Police, Delran Fire Department, and Philadelphia Police Department are all assisting with the rescue operation.
