Cranford Memorial Day Parade Set For Monday With Ceremony At Memorial Park
Cranford's annual Memorial Day Parade returns Monday morning with a ceremony planned at Memorial Park.
CRANFORD, NJ — Cranford will hold its annual Memorial Day Parade on Monday, May 25, beginning at 9 a.m., township officials announced.
The parade will start at the Cranford Community Center and conclude at Memorial Park, where a ceremony honoring Memorial Day will take place following the procession.
Mayor Kathleen Miller Prunty discussed the event during Tuesday’s Township Committee meeting and encouraged residents to attend both the parade and the ceremony afterward.

“This Monday is Memorial Day, and we'll be having the annual Memorial Day parade,” Mayor Miller Prunty said. “If the weather doesn't hold out, we'll be at the high school auditorium, but we're hopeful that the weather will hold out, and we'll have our annual parade.”
The township is monitoring the weather forecast ahead of Monday’s events. According to officials, parade activities would move indoors to the high school auditorium in the event of inclement weather.

Miller Prunty also emphasized the importance of the ceremony planned at Memorial Park after the parade concludes.
“Make sure you come out for the parade, and more importantly, after the parade, please come to Memorial Park, where we have a ceremony which reflects what the day really is all about,” she said. “Hope to see you there.”
