East Brunswick Welcomes New Nail Salon, Cites Growing Business Interest

Owners say the township's diversity made it the right fit for H2O Nail & Wax Studio.

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ - East Brunswick officials recently welcomed H2O Nail & Wax Studio to the township, citing the community's diversity and growing appeal to businesses as reasons for the new location.

Mayor Brad Cohen said the township continues to attract higher-end retail as investment in the area grows.

"East Brunswick is the center of New Jersey," Cohen said. "More and more upscale businesses are discovering that East Brunswick is an outstanding place to do business."

Cohen said the redevelopment of the township's Route 18 corridor is part of a broader effort to reestablish East Brunswick as a premier destination.

"People are recognizing that East Brunswick is back in the game, that we are the center of the state," Cohen said. "Our Route 18 corridor is being rebuilt and redeveloped, and so bringing in higher-end retail is something that East Brunswick has always been known for. This is a time to dust off the diamond and show us here in East Brunswick how great it really can be."

Mo, co-owner of H2O Nail & Wax Studio, said the township's diversity was a key factor in choosing the location, according to a video interview with township economic development officer Rob Zuckerman.

"East Brunswick is a very diverse town, and nail and wax services, it's not for you or me, it's for everybody," Mo said. "We believe East Brunswick serves that diversity that really is what we're after, and that makes the business successful."

Township officials said H2O joins a growing list of businesses choosing to invest in East Brunswick, strengthening the local economy.
