Families who don't own gear can still participate — a limited number of loaner fishing poles will be available, and live bait and hooks will be on hand while supplies last.
The event is sponsored by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection Fish & Wildlife's Hooked on Fishing – Not on Drugs program, a statewide initiative that uses recreational fishing to promote healthy, drug-free lifestyles among young people.
