Need a Passport? East Windsor Is Hosting A Walk-In Application Event This Month
The free-to-attend Passport Day at 16 Lanning Blvd. runs May 14 from 2–6:30 p.m.; appointments are encouraged.
EAST WINDSOR — Residents looking to obtain or renew a U.S. passport will have a convenient local option later this month, as Mercer County Clerk Paula Sollami Covello and Mayor Janice S. Mironov are hosting a Passport Day event on Thursday, May 14, from 2 to 6:30 p.m. at the East Windsor Township Municipal Building, 16 Lanning Blvd.
County Clerk staff will process passport applications on-site. Walk-ins are welcome, but residents are strongly encouraged to schedule an appointment by calling (609) 989-6473. Passport photos will also be available at the event.
"I am delighted that we are able to bring this valuable service directly to East Windsor to help our residents with their passport applications by providing a convenient local option," Mironov said. "U.S. Passports are the primary form of ID required for international travel including Canada, and this county clerk passport service day assists residents in securing this important document."

Applicants must bring a government-issued birth certificate or a previous U.S. passport, along with a current driver's license or state-issued ID. The U.S. Department of State requires that certified birth certificates include the full names of both parents; certificates missing parental information will not be accepted as proof of citizenship.
For children under 16, federal guidelines require both parents to appear in person. Passport fees are $130 for adults and $100 for minors, payable by check or money order to the U.S. Department of State. A separate $35 processing fee — payable by check, money order, or credit card to the Mercer County Clerk's Office — is also required. A separate check or money order is needed for each passport. No cash will be accepted.
