Cedar Hill Prep Student Zinnia Shirley Earns Two All-American Honors in Javelin

SOMERSET, NJ — Cedar Hill Preparatory School is celebrating an impressive summer season for student-athlete Zinnia Shirley, who earned two All-American honors in javelin at national AAU competitions.

After securing championship titles at both the state and regional levels, Shirley advanced to national competition, where she placed third in the nation at two major events:

• 3rd Place — AAU Club National Championships, Javelin
• 3rd Place — AAU Junior Olympic Games, Javelin

With both performances, Shirley was named a 2026 AAU All-American twice, adding another milestone to her development as a young track and field athlete.

While the national finishes were a highlight of the season, Shirley’s coaches and school community also recognize the dedication and perseverance behind those achievements. Through track and field, she continues to develop confidence, discipline and resilience—qualities that extend beyond competition and into her life as a student.

Shirley’s parents also expressed their appreciation for the school community.
