A time capsule set to open in 2051 will also be buried at the ceremony.

EDISON, NJ — Edison Township will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony Wednesday, July 2, for the newly built Edison 250 Playground at the Edison Municipal Complex, 100 Municipal Blvd.

The event marks the 250th anniversary of the nation's founding. The playground is designed as an all-inclusive, ADA-compliant space, ensuring accessibility for children and families of all abilities.

Attendees will also witness the ceremonial burying of a time capsule, set to be opened in 2051. Township officials said the capsule will preserve memories and messages from residents for future generations.
