Edison Library's 'Reading Is Revolutionary' Summer Program Kicks Off Saturday
The USA250-themed program runs 10 weeks across three branches, with prizes for readers of all ages.
EDISON, NJ — The Edison Public Library will launch its 2026 Summer Reading Program on June 20 with a patriotic-themed celebration across all three branch locations, running through Aug. 30.
"This summer, we are inviting readers of all ages to join us at the Library as we celebrate the diverse voices, ideas, and stories that have shaped our nation over the last 250 years," said Youth Librarian Allia Nisa.
The program's theme, "Reading is Revolutionary," honors the nation's 250th anniversary. The kickoff event on June 20 will feature an interactive performance of patriotic songs by musician Jim Gaven, followed by crafts and an ice cream truck visit. The event will be held at the Main Library at 10 a.m., the Clara Barton Branch at 11 a.m., and the North Edison Branch at noon.
