The free festival runs noon to 6 p.m. Saturday, with Sunday as the rain date.

METUCHEN, NJ — Live music will fill porches and yards around Metuchen on Saturday, when the borough holds its annual PorchFest.

The free event runs from noon to 6 p.m. If it rains, it moves to Sunday, Oct. 4.

Eighteen local acts are on the lineup, including Maidin, Machines As Tall As Giants, Knifethroat, Almost Heroes, Six To One, Mourning Coffee, The Earth Monkeys Band, Grand Sedan and The Just Cause. The borough says the music will range from rock and folk to jazz and blues.
