Englewood Fire Department To Host Annual Junior Fire Academy This Summer
Participants will take part in hands-on activities, fitness training, and educational experiences.
ENGLEWOOD, NJ — The Englewood Fire Department is accepting applications for its Junior Fire Academy, a summer program designed to introduce local youth to the fire service and the responsibilities of becoming a firefighter.
The academy is open to Englewood residents ages 11 to 15 and will take place from July 20 through July 24.
Participants will take part in hands-on activities, fitness training, and educational experiences aimed at building leadership and teamwork skills.

Junior fire cadets will have daily physical fitness training, introduction to basic firefighting and field trips exploring different aspects of fire service.
Cadets will leave the academy with a sense of responsibility, accountability, work ethic, teamwork and community involvement.

Applications are available at the front desk of the Englewood Fire Department at 81 S. Van Brunt St. and online here.
