Man Fatally Hit By NJ Transit Train In Hunterdon County
The Raritan Valley Line service was suspended in both directions between the Whitehouse and High Bridge stations on Wednesday night.

CLINTON, NJ — A man was fatally hit by an NJ Transit train in Hunterdon County on Wednesday night.
At 6:07 p.m., Raritan Valley Line train 5733 hit and killed an adult man at the Mountain Road crossing in Clinton Township near the Lebanon station, said NJ Transit Director of Media Relations John Chartier.
The man's identity was not released.

The 25 passengers and crew members on the train were uninjured.
The train had left Newark Penn Station at 4:36 p.m. and was scheduled to arrive in High Bridge at 6:12 p.m.

Following the fatality, the Raritan Valley Line service was suspended in both directions between the Whitehouse and High Bridge stations. It has since resumed.
NJ Transit Police are investigating.
