NJ E-Bike Laws Are Changing. Flemington Police Urge Riders To Stay Informed
Upcoming state updates may require licensing, registration, insurance, and new safety equipment for electric bike riders.
FLEMINGTON, NJ — New Jersey's Motor Vehicle Commission is preparing updates to state electric bike laws that could affect riders throughout the region, and Flemington Borough Police are urging residents to stay informed.
The upcoming changes may include new requirements for licensing, registration, and insurance, as well as rider age restrictions and updated safety equipment rules. Full implementation details have not yet been released by the NJMVC.
Flemington Borough Police encouraged all riders and parents to review the evolving regulations and continue practicing safe and responsible e-bike operation.
