Chamber musicians Theresa Norris, flute, Chris Cullen, clarinet, Janey Choi, violin, Daryl Goldberg, cello and Beth Robin, piano, perform two audience favorites by Franz Schubert. Guest artist American soprano Melissa Fogarty will sing ”The Shepherd on the Rock", D. 965, a Lied for Soprano, Clarinet, and Piano , and also sing the popular art song “Die Forelle” as heard in the Piano Quintet in A major, D. 667 (Forellenquintett for Piano, Violin, Viola, Cello and Double bass). Guest artists Junah Chung, viola and Deb Spohnheimer, bass will join the chamber musicians for a complete performance of the “Trout” Quintet. Also on the program is the eloquent and recently composed Trio No. 2 by Edgar F. Girtain IV, for Flute, Violin and Cello. Admission is free. A donation is suggested at the door.
