Abandoned Puppies Found 'Frozen In Fear' In Monmouth County

FREEHOLD TOWNSHIP, NJ — The Monmouth County SPCA is seeking the public's help after a group of puppies was found alone in Freehold Township.

According to the SPCA, three pups were found abandoned near the Freehold CVS in the area of Main Street and Redwood Lane.

In a comment on the SPCA's post about the puppies, officials said a fourth puppy was also rescued and brought to the SPCA for care.

"They were so frozen in fear and huddled together, shaking and crying," the SPCA said.

Once the puppies were found, the Freehold Township Police Department dispatched Animal Control to rescue them and bring them to safety.

"These puppies are so scared," the SPCA said. "It seems like they had little positive human interaction and wince at any touch."

The SPCA is seeking the public's help to identify where the puppies may have come from.

"In the meantime, these sweet babies are getting the best of care and are safe with us," the SPCA said. "They will have comfy beds, nutritious meals, and get all the TLC they’ve been missing out on."
