New Frozen Custard & Burger Restaurant Coming To Freehold
With hopes to open by the summer, the new location will be the burger chain's second restaurant in Monmouth County.

FREEHOLD, NJ — A new Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers location is coming to Monmouth County.
Currently in the early stages of development, the retro-themed restaurant is hoping to start construction in the coming months and open by the summer, a spokesperson told Patch.
The new restaurant will be located near W. Main Street in front of the Walmart in Freehold, the spokesperson said. It will be the second Freddy’s location in Monmouth County.

Co-founded in 2002 by brothers Bill and Randy Simon with their friend and business partner, Scott Redler, Freddy’s was named in honor of Bill and Randy’s father, according to the restaurant website.
The namesake of the business, Freddy Simon, served in World War II and was awarded the Purple Heart before he returned to Kansas, where he started a family and worked in the hospitality industry for 56 years.

Today, food and operations at Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers are run “The Freddy’s Way,” with menu options ranging from burgers and sandwiches to chicken tenders, onion rings, ice cream and more.
