Parade, Food Truck Festival & More: Memorial Day Weekend In Monmouth County

MONMOUTH COUNTY, NJ — The weekend has officially arrived.

As we kick off the long weekend, there are plenty of events to check out along the Jersey Shore.

Whether you’re looking to celebrate Memorial Day with a parade, try some new food at a Food Truck Festival, get out into nature, or enjoy some live music, here are five Memorial Day Weekend events you can check out:

Jersey Shore Food Truck Festival

• Dates: Saturday through Monday
• Location: Monmouth Park (Oceanport Avenue, Oceanport)
• Details: Sample everything from lobster rolls to fried oreos from over 30 food trucks at the Jersey Shore Food Truck Festival. Live music from 12-4 p.m. Tickets required.

Boat Tours of the Manasquan Reservoir

• Dates: Saturday through Monday
• Location: Manasquan Reservoir (Howell)
• Details: Enjoy these 45-minute tours of the Manasquan Reservoir narrated by Park System Naturalists, with opportunities to view local wildlife. $6 per adult and $4 per child (age 12 and under).

Emo Night Brooklyn

• Date: Sunday
• Location: The Stone Pony (913 Ocean Avenue, Asbury Park)
• Details: Enjoy a late-night DJ-based dance party blasting the best emo and pop punk jams at The Pony. Tickets required.

Freehold’s 152nd Memorial Day Parade

• Date: Monday
• Location: Throughout Freehold

Jazz Arts Jam Sessions

• Date: Monday
• Location: Triumph Restaurant & Brewery (1 Bridge Avenue, Red Bank)
• Details: Bring your instrument and join in on Triumph’s weekly open mic jams, with food, craft beer and “pure jazz joy.”
