Pop-Up Bar To Bring Halloween Cocktails To The Jersey Shore

FREEHOLD, NJ — As the Halloween season approaches, a spooky new pop-up bar experience is making its way to Freehold.

The Haunting, created by the company behind the Christmas cocktail pop-ups Miracle and Sippin' Santa, is set to debut in October at cocktail bars across the globe, including in Freehold.

Inspired by childhood haunted houses, glowing jack-o'-lanterns, vintage Halloween decorations, eerie ghost stories, and late-night horror movie marathons, The Haunting will turn participating bars into Halloween hideaways filled with over-the-top decor, original cocktails, exclusive collectible glassware and more.

In Freehold, the pop-up bar experience will debut at The Bistro at iPlay America on Oct. 1 and remain open until Nov. 1.

"After more than a decade, Miracle [the Christmas cocktail pop-up bar] has become an annual tradition for guests at bars around the world," said Greg Boehm, founder and CEO of Miracle and The Haunting.

"The Haunting is the natural next chapter, bringing the same standard of hospitality, storytelling, and collectible traditions to a whole new season," he continued. "Miracle is no longer just a Christmas brand. It's a category. The Haunting will be a tradition, just like Miracle already is."

For its inaugural season, The Haunting cocktail menu (developed by VP Joann Spiegel) will feature a mix of "bold flavors, unexpected ingredients, and playful presentation."

Creations such as the Widow's Whisper, Scream-sicle, Poison Apple, Liquid Lobotomy and Clown Pear-anoia will aim to capture the fun, mystery, and mischief of Halloween, officials said.

At the pop-up, guests will be able to enjoy spirit-free options and a seasonal shot served with an exclusive collectible Haunting shot glass that guests can take as a keepsake.

Continuing one of Miracle's traditions, The Haunting will also launch its own collection of exclusive collectible glassware and mugs, available only at participating Haunting locations.

Alongside The Haunting at iPlay America in Freehold, the pop-up bar experience will also have a New Jersey location on Centre (at Cowan's Public) in Nutley.
