Night of 300K Meals Will Raise Funds for Hunger Relief in South Jersey

EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP, NJ—April 6, 2023

The Community FoodBank of New Jersey (CFBNJ) is excited to announce its annual Night of 300,000 Meals. This event, in collaboration with chefs and the local community, aims to raise the funds necessary to provide 300,000 meals for nearly 70,000 South Jersey neighbors in need.

“South Jersey has some of the highest food insecurity rates in New Jersey,” said Torrina Bennett-Michael, Director of External Affairs at the Community FoodBank of New Jersey. “Now, with the effects of inflation and the benefits cliff, need is greater than ever. That’s why it’s so meaningful to see corporate sponsors, local businesses, and the public come out to support their South Jersey neighbors at our Night of 300,000 Meals.”

Night of 300,000 Meals, at the Community FoodBank of New Jersey in Egg Harbor Township on Thursday, April 27, 2023, begins at 5:30 pm. The event will feature about 20 of the best chefs and restaurants in South Jersey for an evening of signature dishes, fun spirits, and the opportunity to tour CFBNJ’s Egg Harbor Township warehouse. This event emphasizes CFBNJ’s mission to provide food, help, and hope – while also highlighting other vital programs, including nutrition education, hygiene product distribution, and college pantries.

Night of 300,000 Meals will include live musical entertainment by the Eddie Morgan Duo, as well as specialty cocktails by Tito’s Handmade Vodka. Attendees will enjoy signature dishes from some of the area's finest establishments. There will be a Titos’s Prize Pull, where guests can purchase a “pull” to receive the correlating bottle with an attached prize. Attendees will also have opportunities to win overnight hotel stays, gym memberships, and restaurant gift cards during one of the many raffle giveaways.

Spencer’s & Spirit Halloween, a CFBNJ Visionary Impact Partner, will be the presenting sponsor for this event. Hard Rock Hotel & Casino AC is a co-presenting Hunger Hero sponsor.

There are currently 25 confirmed sponsors, with a variety of sponsorship opportunities still available to help promote your organization as an ally in the fight against hunger. An individual ticket purchase provides 300 meals to neighbors in need, while a Hunger Hero sponsorship provides 30,000 meals and the chance to be recognized as a CFBNJ Impact Partner.
