GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — Cooper University Health Care is bringing a new "multispecialty" outpatient facility to Gloucester Township, the health system said on Wednesday.

The Gloucester Township site will be Cooper's largest ambulatory campus and will bring more than 400 new jobs to the area.

"As South Jersey continues to grow, so does the need for greater access to high-quality specialty care close to home," added George E. Norcross, III, Cooper University Health Care Board of Trustees Chairman. "This project will transform health care access in the region while creating hundreds of jobs and generating long-term economic growth."

Design is set to begin in mid-2026 and run through mid-2027. Both state and local approvals are anticipated to be received between late 2026 and fall 2027.

Construction is estimated to begin in mid-2027 and end by the conclusion of 2028.

Cooper said the first patients are on track to arrive in spring 2029.

Included in the plan are:

  • Advanced specialty exam suites
  • An MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper suite for radiation oncology and infusion services
  • A "next-generation" radiology suite with advanced diagnostic imaging technology
  • A dedicated procedural suite for patients with digestive health issues
  • A "modern" ambulatory surgery center
The Gloucester Township project is part of Cooper's phased approach to their $3 billion growth in the city.
