Driver Hit With More Violations After Crashing Into NJ Teens: Report

LINDENWOLD, NJ — The driver of an SUV that crashed into six teens on Tuesday has had more citations filed against them, according to NJ Advance Media.

The 16-year-old boy had been arrested on charges that included "joyriding" after he drove on the sidewalk and hit the group that was walking nearby along E Gibbsboro Road.

He has also received summonses for careless driving, reckless driving, no liability insurance on a motor vehicle, driving a motor vehicle without consent of the owner, failure to report an accident, improper driving on a sidewalk, failure to give proper signal, traffic on marked lanes, and driving without a license.

In another video shared to Facebook, viewer discretion is advised as graphic language is heard in the background of the aftermath of the collision.

A large group of people can be seen around the silver SUV before some sort of altercation breaks out and police take one person into custody.

On Wednesday, Lindenwold Schools Superintendent Kristin O'Neil confirmed in a message to the community that the crash involved multiple kids associated with the district.

"Today, I hope we all hug our children a little longer and take a moment to share a kind thought, prayer, expression of support for the children who are recovering and for the families, friends, and loved ones who are caring for them," O'Neil added.
