Wawa Closes, Paves Way For New South Jersey Location

WINSLOW TOWNSHIP, NJ — The "Wawa" convenience store along Route 30 (White Horse Pike) at Pump Branch Road has closed for good, according to the Google listing for the business.

According to Wawa, the shutdown is to make way for a new, larger store down the street.

The new location will bring with it a more modern design and will also serve gas at 303 S White Horse Pk.

The store will be housed near Pump Branch Road and Waterford-Blue Anchor Road.

A grand opening had been scheduled for September 18, but that has been delayed.

As of Monday, a new official date is yet to be confirmed.

The grand opening was set to begin shortly before 8 a.m. with the first 100 customers receiving a "Wawa Grand Opening Tour in the USA" t-shirt.

Customers were also slated to receive free any size hot coffee through September 20.

The Winslow Township location is the 64th new store out of around 100 across 14 states that Wawa has planned to bring in 2026.
