2 NJ Motorcyclists Collide, Killing 1 And Injuring Another, Cops Say

Both drivers lost control before being thrown from their bikes, authorities said.

WARREN COUNTY, NJ — One motorcyclist is dead, and another is injured following a collision in Warren County.

On Sunday, around 6 p.m., police were called to the area of 945 on Route 517 in Independence Township on reports of a crash with injuries.

Authorities learned that two motorcyclists had collided, causing each of them to be thrown from their bikes, police said.

One of the bikers was pronounced dead at the scene, officials said.

The other was rushed to Morristown Medical Center for treatment. He was in stable condition as of Monday morning, according to police.

The crash forced police to shut down Route 517 for more than three hours.

The crash is still under investigation. Police haven't released the name of either biker.
