Washington, N.J., March 30, 2026 – The Arc of Warren County Radiothon with WRNJ is celebrating its 36th
anniversary on April 29, 2026. Tune in to hear the stories. Give to make a difference and help make your neighbors thrive. 

From 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. that day WRNJ will devote eight hours to sharing stories about the impact of The Arc of Warren County’s work from many different perspectives, including families, consumers, community leaders, board members and employees.

This historic fundraiser is the longest running Radiothon in the State of New Jersey and one of the longest running fundraisers of this type in the country.

Funds raised will help all The Arc of Warren County programs that support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities with a special emphasis on Camp Warren and our 17 residential programs throughout the county, as both programs need various upgrades.


The 2026 Radiothon will be co-chaired by Jim Travis, of Otterstedt Insurance Agency, and Norman Worth, of WRNJ, for the eighth consecutive year. Both Travis and Worth have advocated for the organization and individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities for close to four decades. Travis serves on the Board of Directors for The Arc of Warren County.Both Travis and Worth are long-time members of the Hackettstown Rotary Club and serve on the Advisory Board for Atlantic Health’s Hackettstown Medical Center.

As in the past, all donors will be publicly thanked (without donation amounts) during Radiothon Day unless they wish to remain anonymous.There are also two sponsorship levels that are available for Radiothon 2026.They are as follows:

·The Community Builder Circle of gifts over $500.
·Empower Hour where businesses or individuals can sponsor one hour of Radiothon for $1,500 or over.

“The Arc of Warren County community is extremely thankful for the continued commitment to Radiothon from our co-chairs and WRNJ Radio, in general,” says John Whitehead, CEO of The Arc of Warren County.“It is Radiothon’s 36-year
anniversary and we are still going strong. We are so grateful for all of the ongoing support.This commitment has made such a significant impact in supporting our programs and operations for many years.”

The Water Gap Singers will be showcasing choral works by Johannes Brahms on Sunday, May 17, 2026. The concert, at the First Presbyterian Church, 1 Main St., in Blairstown, NJ, begins at 4 PM, with a reception following.
While certainly well-known for his symphonies, concertos, and chamber works, Johannes Brahms was also among those in the 19th Century, like Franz Schubert and Robert Schumann, who produced art songs. While many of us heard his famous lullaby as infants and toddlers, fewer are familiar with his collection of Liebeslieder Walzer, or “Love-song Waltzes”. These songs of course include emotions familiar to our time, but can differ from that convention with an occasional fist-shaking at people who think they know better how others should behave.
Another important piece included in the concert is his setting of the classic Schiller poem "Nänie", or "Nenia", which also would have been at home in Brahms' famous "German Requiem". And regarding the Brahms Requiem, the concert also includes its justly famous center-piece - "How Lovely is Thy Dwelling-Place".
 The concert is free, with a free-will offering gratefully accepted

We're excited to share an upcoming Art Show at the Lamberville Public Library. Local artist, Isabella Pizzano, will display a Visual Journey including 35 of her latest Abstract paintings. Isabella's career has spanned three decades. Her work has been displayed in hundreds of national and international exhibits throughout the US&nbsp;and Europe.&nbsp;Her original abstract expressionistic paintings must be seen for you to understand her open-minded view of life captured in artwork.Isabella believes that a good abstract painting must overcome the brain's natural desire to identify an object. It should elicit a deeply emotional response and allow the viewer to glimpse inside the creative mind of the artist, while allowing a personal interpretation of the experience the goal of the experimental artist is to explore uncharted territory and take risks. This type of painting affords the artist complete freedom of expression, allowing a pure and unlimited adventure trip for both artist and art love.Isabella feels this way of painting transports her on an exploratory voyage. Most often, she does not envision the finished product when she begins her journey to create a new work of art.
