Hackettstown To Hold 25th Anniversary 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony

HACKETTSTOWN, NJ — The Town of Hackettstown will commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks with a 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony at 8:45 a.m. Friday, Sept. 11, at the 9/11 Memorial outside the Municipal Building, 215 West Stiger St.

The ceremony will honor the lives lost in the attacks, recognize the bravery of first responders, and provide the community with an opportunity to reflect on the events of Sept. 11. All residents are invited to attend, and veteran and service organizations serving the Hackettstown area are encouraged to participate. Organizations wishing to be included in the program should email press@hackettstown.net by Friday, Sept. 4.

To accommodate the event, several streets near the municipal building are expected to be closed from 8 to 10 a.m., including portions of West Stiger Street, Beatty Street, and Charles Street. Officials said residents will continue to have access to their homes, and area businesses will remain accessible during the temporary closures.
