NJ Man Fatally Struck By Vehicle While Crossing The Street, Police Say
The incident occurred Thursday night in the Hammonton section of Winslow Township.
WINSLOW, NJ — A 44-year-old man has died after he was struck by a vehicle while crossing the street, the Winslow Township Police Department said.
The incident occurred around 10 p.m. on Thursday, when Winslow Police were dispatched to the area of 625 White Horse Pike in the Hammonton section of Winslow Township for a report of a pedestrian who had been struck by a vehicle in the eastbound lane of traffic.
The preliminary investigation determined that the pedestrian was crossing White Horse Pike from the westbound side toward the eastbound side when he was struck by a vehicle going east, police said.

Winslow Township EMS and fire department personnel responded to the crash and provided medical treatment to the victim, who was identified as Jose Reyes, 44, of Hammonton.
Reyes succumbed to his injuries, police said.

The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene of the crash and is cooperating with the investigation.
The crash is being investigated by the Winslow Township Police Department Highway Safety Unit in conjunction with the Camden County Crash Investigation Team.
