Hillsborough PD's 'Summertime Connection' Serves Up Free Ice Cream, Community Ties
Meet officers and explore police vehicles Wednesday at The Ice House; rain date set for July 9.
HILLSBOROUGH, NJ - The Hillsborough Township Police Department will host a community meet-and-greet event, "Summertime Connection," on Wednesday, July 8, from 6 to 8 p.m. at The Ice House, according to the department.
The event, geared toward families, will give residents a chance to meet local police officers, explore police vehicles and enjoy ice cream, police said. The first 200 kids in attendance will receive a free scoop.
Activities will include opportunities to meet officers, tour police vehicles and spend time with family, according to the announcement.

A rain date is scheduled for Thursday, July 9, from 6 to 8 p.m., the same time as the original event, police said.
The Ice House is located at 378 South Branch Road in Hillsborough.
