He said the local setting makes the screening especially meaningful because of the film’s ties to Somerset County.
"Having the New Jersey premiere of The Family Recipe here in Hillsborough feels like bringing the film home. We made this movie in Somerset County with the support of local businesses, locations, cast members and members of the community, so getting to share it with a hometown audience— outdoors at Norz Hill Farm — is incredibly special. After everything it took to make the film, this feels like a celebration of everyone who helped bring it to life."
The premiere is part of the opening of Hillsborough Farm Week.
The event is also a way to celebrate local filmmaking while bringing people together at the farm for an outdoor community gathering.
