Somerset County Opens Pool, Spray Park For Summer Visits

SOMERSET COUNTY, NJ — Warrenbrook Pool in Warren and the Colonial Park Spray Park in Somerset are now open on weekends and will be open daily on June 19 as summer temperatures rise, said the Somerset County Park Commission(SCPC).

Warrenbrook Pool, located with Warrenbrook Golf Course, includes a zee-shaped main pool with a water slide and a separate wading pool for young children.

Visitors also can use picnic tables, open lawn space for activities and games, and a concession stand when they are not in the water.

"Nothing says summer fun more than cooling off at the pool or splash park, and we’re thrilled to offer both," said SCPC Director Dan Hayes. "Bring your friends, bring your family, and have a great time swimming and splashing all summer long with the Somerset County Parks."

Warrenbrook Pool is open 12 to 6 p.m.

Season passes are available at a pre-season discount through June 6, and daily passes are available throughout the season. Information on season and day passes is posted on the Somerset County Parks website.

The Colonial Park Spray Park, located behind the playground in Somerset, features 6,500 square feet of aquatic sprayers, ground jets and fountains on non-slip padding.

The spray park is for children only, though parents may accompany small children on the pad.

Spray park hours are 12 to 7:30 p.m. on operating days.

There is no fee to use the spray park, though groups may reserve the site on weekdays from 10 a.m. to noon for a fee.
