Hoboken, Jersey City Dig Out After Nor'easter: See Photos, Rain Totals
A coastal flood advisory remained in effect for Hudson County on Monday. See photos and impacts from the nor'easter.
HUDSON COUNTY, NJ — Hoboken and Jersey City both advised residents to stay off the waterfront during the weekend's nor'easter, and are now digging out.
According to the National Weather Service, Hoboken received 2.27 inches of rain by Sunday morning, and Harrison received 2.02 inches. A spotter in Bayonne recorded 46 MPH winds on Friday night.
Hoboken endured some flooding in low-lying areas and on the waterfront at the coastal storm bore down.

More rain is in the forecast for Monday, with a coastal flood advisory still in effect until 2 p.m.
Hoboken officials had closed the city's waterfront walkway and four waterfront parks on Saturday and Sunday.

On Saturday night, Jersey City officials sent a message saying, "Flooding, strong winds, downed trees, and power outages remain concerns as the nor’easter continues through the weekend. Stay away from Jersey City’s waterfront, including walkways and parks, until conditions improve. Strong winds and rising water can make these areas dangerous with little warning."

Other Damage
Just north of Hudson County, dramatic photos emerged from the Comfort Inn parking lot in Edgewater, where the coastal storm raised the water level.
Desi Garrison, a front desk worker at the hotel, told Patch on Sunday night, "We are open."
"We are still taking guests," she said. "We are telling guests to enter closer to the tennis court."
