Hoboken Plans To Repave 50 City Blocks, Starting This Week
Mile-square Hoboken will repave 50 blocks this spring. See where they are this week.
HOBOKEN, NJ — The mile-square city of Hoboken will mill and pave at least 50 blocks of roadway starting this week.
The Complete Streets and Resurfacing Program will ultimately pave two miles of roadway, the city said.
With other projects going on — including a federally funded program to build seawalls to resist storm surges — traffic may be difficult to navigate.

The city said it will add Vision Zero safety improvements during the work, to build on the street safety program. The city has now gone nine years without a pedestrian death. Changes will include using high-visibility striping to refresh crosswalks and other roadway markings.
“We know how frustrating it can be to drive around the city this time of year, especially after a tough winter and several construction projects that have greatly improved what’s beneath the surface, but left roads in rough condition,” said Mayor Emily Jabbour.

Here are the traffic impacts:

- No Parking on Seventh street, both sides of the road between Madison & Monroe Streets.
