Severe Thunderstorm Warning, Flood Advisory Issued For Bergen, Hudson Counties
As the temperature heads past 90 in North Jersey, a thunderstorm warning was issued Wednesday afternoon.
NORTH JERSEY, NJ — Amid a heatwave and Canadian wildfire smoke, the National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm warning and flood advisory for Bergen and Hudson counties Wednesday afternoon.
The thunderstorm warning for Bergen County ends at 5:15 p.m., but the flood advisory is in effect until 7:45 p.m. The storm warning in Hudson County continues until 5:45 p.m.
Around 5 p.m., radar showed a horizontal line of thunderstorms extending from Pennsylvania through North Jersey to New York City.
