When a company shares its success with a charity it makes for a beautiful collaboration. That’s what happens June 26-28 when Tito’s Handmade Vodka donates $1.00 per cocktail at an iconic music/food festival at the Sussex County Fairgrounds in Augusta, N.J. The recipient is The Sparta Community Food Pantry, Inc. (“SCFP). Last year the food pantry received $2,500.

The 41-year-old volunteer-run food pantry “feeds anyone in need and anywhere they live to the best of our ability,” according to their website. “We never require documentation or proof of need. The only requirement is to be in need.”

In addition, the Sparta-based food bank on Demarest Road writes “a close second is feeding people nutritiously. Once the basic need of hunger is met our hope is they can move forward with their lives, eg, apply for a job, reach out to social service agencies, study for an exam, etc.”

The pantry is open to walk-ins and volunteers also deliver a week’s worth of groceries to the home bound.

Also at the festival members of the Future Farmers of America [FFA] will usher visitors to their Rock, Ribs, and Ridges Festival general admission parking spots. These youngsters are future farmers, chemists, veterinarians, government officials, entrepreneurs, bankers, international business leaders, teachers and premier professionals in many career fields.
