Unearthing History, One Page at a Time: Unidentified Aerial Phenomena

Join us to transcribe case files on sightings of unidentified flying objects of Project Blue Book, the U.S. Air Force investigation into UFOs that were sighted between June 1947 and December 1969.

Participants will help transcribe historical documents, making these records more accessible and searchable for historians, students, and researchers. By transforming handwritten documents into digital text, volunteers play an important role in preserving history and uncovering stories that might otherwise remain hidden.

Participants are encouraged to bring a laptop; a limited number are available on site.

Unearthing History, One Page at a Time is a collaborative transcription series where volunteers convert historical documents into searchable digital text, supporting researchers, genealogists, and the preservation of history for future generations.
