Hopewell's Newly Reopened Theater Has Something On Every June Weekend

Hopewell Valley Stage's first full month features rock, jazz, musical theater, family shows — and a break in July for more renovations.

HOPEWELL, N J — Hopewell Valley Stage is launching its first full month of artistic programming in June, following the reopening of its historic theater at 5 S. Greenwood Avenue.
Events will be held every weekend through the month before the venue pauses in July for additional improvements.

The June lineup spans tribute rock, jazz, musical theater, contemporary classical and family programming.

Highlights include Guns N' Hoses, an all-female Guns N' Roses tribute band, on June 5 (tickets from $25); Gia Ware and The Warehouse Collective on June 12 (from $35); the sp(inner)ace album release party on June 13 (from $35); The Crossing, a new musical reimagining Washington's Delaware crossing, on June 20 with shows at 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. (from $35); Small Bites: An Acoustic Tasting Menu on June 26 (from $35); and on June 27, both the Aesop Romp! kids' show at 10 a.m. ($10–$15) and I Get Wild plays Talking Heads at 8 p.m. (from $25). A family-friendly Broadway revue, Back on Broad, takes place June 7 ($10–$15).

"Our first full month of programming is an exciting milestone for the Stage and for our whole community," said Theater Manager Maeli Goren-Wilson. "It's an ambitious lineup, but we know how eager Hopewell Valley is to experience more art together."

From nationally recognized musicians and new theatrical works to interactive performances for children and families, the lineup – which features new events every weekend in June – showcases Hopewell Valley Stage’s commitment to providing a home for a wide breadth of artistic experiences.
